Turmeric Tea: Beat the cold and flu Season

This is the most challenging time of year to stay healthy. The lack of sunlight is the major factor and being indoors more adds to our susceptibility of catching a virus. The most important thing you can do this time of year is to boost your immune system the best you can. I like to find natural ways to do so and there is nothing much better than turmeric.

Turmeric has anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that aid in boosting your immune system.

This Turmeric Tea recipe is one that I use almost daily and I want to share it as I enjoy the comforting, warm, hearty yet sweet taste to it. I recommend drinking this at night if you can before bedtime or first thing in the morning to start the day off right.



Warm in a pot and stir:

1 cup coconut/almond milk

1/2 tbsp organic turmeric powder

1 tbsp ghee

1 tbsp local honey

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp cinnamon
